Terms of sale

The terms that apply when you buy from eBikes For Sale.

1. About us

This website is operated by Isaac Ekamonle, a sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France under SIRET 850 131 467 00027, trading as eBikes For Sale, 14 Cours du Sud, 92140 Clamart, France. Email: contact@ebikesforsale.co.uk. eBikes For Sale is an independent online retailer. When we sell bikes and accessories from other brands, we are not the manufacturer and are not operated by the brand owner; trademarks belong to their respective owners.

2. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred; in that case you are refunded in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery costs, if any, are shown before you pay. Payment is taken securely at checkout by our payment provider, Stripe.

4. Delivery

We deliver to mainland UK addresses. See Delivery & returns.

5. Your right to cancel

You may cancel within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. See Delivery & returns for how to return a bike.

6. Using your electric bike

Motor power and speed figures on our product pages are supplier specifications. Unless a product page states that the exact UK model has been verified, we do not confirm that it meets the rules for electrically assisted pedal cycles (EAPC) in Great Britain (a motor of no more than 250 W continuous rated power, assistance cutting out at 15.5 mph, rider aged 14 or over), which apply to riding on public roads and cycle paths. Please contact us before ordering if you intend to ride on public roads. Do not modify a bike to increase its power or speed: a bike that exceeds the EAPC limits is treated as a motor vehicle in law. Please read the manufacturer’s manual, check the bike before each ride, and charge the battery only with the supplied charger.

7. Faulty goods

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Any manufacturer warranty is shown on the product page and is in addition to those rights.

8. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
