Is an all-terrain e-bike right for you?
Compare each model for tyre size, suspension and braking equipment. Consider the terrain you plan to ride and check the exact specification and permitted use before ordering.
The trade-offs
- Weight: the RANDRIDE YX80M-2 weighs 41kg including its battery. Think about stairs, lifts and where the bike will be stored.
- Range: wide tyres and a heavy frame use more energy per mile than a light city bike. Compare the manufacturer estimate with your longest regular ride; our guide How much range do I need? shows how.
- Tyre pressure: fat tyres run at low pressure, so check them often. Soft tyres cost range.
Choosing your bike
The YX80M-2 has the larger 960Wh battery; the YX90M has a 672Wh battery and a lower price. See them side by side on our comparison page.
Riding on UK roads
Motor figures for these bikes are supplier specifications that we are still verifying, so we do not yet describe them as compliant with the UK electrically assisted pedal cycle (EAPC) rules. Read UK electric bike laws, explained, and ask us before ordering if you plan to ride on public roads or cycle paths.
